Gentle Yoga for a Calm Nervous System

In today's fast-paced and stressful world, finding effective ways to cultivate calmness and tranquility is crucial for maintaining our well-being. A powerful approach to achieving calm lies in the vagus nerve, a key part of the autonomic nervous system.


Vagal toning, the ability to regulate the vagus nerve's activity, plays a pivotal role in promoting a state of calm and relaxation. Toning the vagus nerve affects our emotional resilience and our ability to recover from stress, as well as our heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and immune response.


In this week’s class, we will enjoy yoga and other practices to regulate our nervous system through vagal toning. Come away from class bathed in tranquility and with a toolkit designed to bring greater calm to our body, mind, and spirit whenever we wish.
