Willow Street Yoga Center has been a part of the Takoma Park community for over 30 years. Located in downtown Takoma Park, Maryland, we offer a welcoming two-studio space with in-person, online, and hybrid classes.We host a large, well-trained faculty of instructors offering weekly classes in yoga,Pilates, meditation, and we also host nationally and internationally renowned guest instructors for intensive trainings. Our classes are often therapeutically and holistically oriented. We believe that yoga should be accessible and inclusive, and we aim to make sure our studio represents that in all ways we can. We are a learning and growing community.

​Are you passionate about yoga, wellness, and building community? Willow Street Yoga is looking for a dedicated Work Study Volunteer (2-10 hours weekly.)  to help support our vibrant studio! If you’re enthusiastic about wellness and enjoy connecting with people, this role offers a wonderful way to immerse yourself in our community.​

​Why Join Us? As a Work Study Volunteer, you have a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for our students. Willow Street Yoga is looking to welcome a dedicated Pilates Instructor to our community! This position reports directly to our Studio Manager and Owner, and plays a key role in supporting our vibrant student base. We're seeking an instructor eager to share their passion for Pilates and currently certified to teach. Ideally, this instructor would lead classes once or twice a week, with availability for weekday evenings and a weekend slot.

Key Qualifications & Skills: While we know no one will have every qualification listed, we’re prioritizing candidates who: - Have experience or a strong interest in wellness practices (yoga, Pilates, etc.), ideally with two years of teaching experience - Hold a current Pilates teaching certification - Are enthusiastic about engaging with our diverse community of students - Have experience with social media platforms and a willingness to promote themselves as an independent contractor within Willow Street Yoga - Are strong problem-solvers, able to think both logistically and creatively - Are self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and within a small team - Possess excellent communication skills and can balance policy enforcement with a warm, friendly approach Pay: Payment will be discussed upon offer, but standard rates are a 60/40 split based on number of attendees per class.
