Willow Street Yoga Center has been a part of the Takoma Park community for over 30 years. Located in downtown Takoma Park, Maryland, we offer a welcoming two-studio space with in-person, online, and hybrid classes.We host a large, well-trained faculty of instructors offering weekly classes in yoga,Pilates, meditation, and we also host nationally and internationally renowned guest instructors for intensive trainings. Our classes are often therapeutically and holistically oriented. We believe that yoga should be accessible and inclusive, and we aim to make sure our studio represents that in all ways we can. We are a learning and growing community.

Willow Street Yoga is looking to welcome a dedicated Pilates Instructor to our community! This position reports directly to our Studio Manager and Owner, and plays a key role in supporting our vibrant student base. We're seeking an instructor eager to share their passion for Pilates and currently certified to teach. Ideally, this instructor would lead classes once or twice a week, with availability for weekday evenings and a weekend slot.
Key Qualifications & Skills: While we know no one will have every qualification listed, we’re prioritizing candidates who: - Have experience or a strong interest in wellness practices (yoga, Pilates, etc.), ideally with two years of teaching experience - Hold a current Pilates teaching certification - Are enthusiastic about engaging with our diverse community of students - Have experience with social media platforms and a willingness to promote themselves as an independent contractor within Willow Street Yoga - Are strong problem-solvers, able to think both logistically and creatively - Are self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently and within a small team - Possess excellent communication skills and can balance policy enforcement with a warm, friendly approach Pay: Payment will be discussed upon offer, but standard rates are a 60/40 split based on number of attendees per class. The Studio Experience Manager is responsible for creating a welcoming, organized, and elevated studio environment for students and teachers.
This role oversees day to day studio operations, front desk functions,and boutique retail. The Studio Experience Manager ensures that every visit feels seamless, supportive, and aligned with the studio’s values and brand. In addition to maintaining front of house operations, the Studio Experience Manager will also collaborate closely alongside the Assistant Marketing Manager and the Studio Operations Manager and will report to the Studio Director.
This position is in person. The ideal candidate ideally lives within Takoma Park, MD, Takoma, DC, or Silver Spring, MD.

Key Responsibilities In-Studio Operations & Guest Experience ● Oversee daily studio operations to ensure smooth class transitions and studio flow ● Create a warm, inclusive, and professional atmosphere for all students and teachers ● Answer questions, comments, concerns via the desk email and registrar email during shifts ● Ensure the studio is clean, organized, and set up for classes and events Front Desk & Administrative Duties ● Handle check-ins, memberships, class registrations, and retail purchases ● Collaboratively assist the Operations Manager and Assistant Manager on scheduling changes, encourage new ideas for increasing memberships and sales ● Support teachers and facilitators with in-studio logistics Boutique & Retail Management ● Manage the studio boutique, including merchandising, inventory, cleaning, and restocking ● Ensure retail offerings align with the studio’s brand and community needs ● Process sales and track inventory performance Studio Experience & Culture ● Uphold and model the studio’s mission, values, and service standards ● Support community-building efforts through events, workshops, and special offerings ● Identify opportunities to improve the in-studio experience and operational efficiency Skills & Qualities ● Strong hospitality and customer service skills ● Highly organized and detail oriented ● Comfortable multitasking in a fast-paced studio environment ● Clear communicator with a calm, grounded presence ● Passion for yoga, wellness, and community spaces Preferred Experience ● Experience in yoga, fitness, wellness, or boutique retail environments ● Front desk, retail, or studio operations experience ● Familiarity with booking systems, POS systems, and memberships
