Willow_Street_Yoga_74_websize.jpg

Join us for this two hour Fascial Release workshop with Tricia Kull!

Fascia is connective tissue that surrounds your muscles, blood vessels, nerves, and organs. When it’s healthy, fascia allows your muscles to slide and glide as you move, but when your fascia gets tight and stuck, it can restrict your movement and breath, and even cause pain.

In this workshop, we will use tools, simple techniques, and yoga poses to help release tension held in the fascia of the lower body, focusing on the hips.  This practice will help create slide and glide in the tissues of lower body making space for more easeful movement.

Props will be provided. No experience necessary. This is in person ONLY.

The Slow Flow & Silent Tea Ceremony Meditation will start with a slow, deep stretching flow where you will be guided to hold poses and move in and out of poses to check in with their bodies, how you are feeling, and identify where in the body you might be holding tension.

We will utilize breath, movement, and mindfulness to release tension, deeply stretch, and unwind. We will also go through a quick chakra flow to open and unblock our chakras.

After our slow flow, we will begin our silent tea meditation. We will hold space to set our
intentions for the tea meditation. Once everyone has chosen their tea, the silence will begin as we mindfully steep our tea and savor every sip.

Once we conclude the tea ceremony, we will hold space for journaling and group reflection. A variety of organic teas and mugs will be provided during the workshop. Students are invited to bring a journal with them to set intentions
and journal throughout the workshop.

Spring Expansion with James Foulkes

Saturday, March 21st

4:00 pm - 7:00 pm EST | HYBRID | Cost: $60

Willow_Street_Yoga_126_websize.jpg

As the days become warmer and brighter, nature rouses from her winter slumber and looks ahead to the new growth of Spring. This is the season to plant seeds for a future harvest and determine our direction and action for the coming expansive months. Focused intent enhances our ability to envision possibilities and weave our dreams.

These seasonal workshops offer an opportunity to harmonize your body/mind with the cyclic rhythm of the seasons. Spring is the most potent season for cleansing and detoxification and is associated with the Wood Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). In this workshop, we are to focus on rejuvenating and invigorating the Organs and Meridians (energy channels) of the Wood Element - the Liver and Gall Bladder - and the transformation of their negative emotional characteristics...Anger and Frustration to Acceptance and Kindness.

The Wood energy of Spring is an expression of life and growth at its strongest. To balance the Yin nature of the gentle cleansing stretches and breathwork, we will explore a variety of dynamic sequences - expansive and opening movements with a vigorous and stimulating approach; embodying a surge of rising energy like the dandelion whose growing edge can burst through concrete if it must.

Nature Inspired Soundbath and Meditation with Dante Baker

Sunday, March 22nd

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm EST | In Studio Only | Cost: $45

Willow_Street_Yoga_7-2_websize_edited.jpg

Join us on Sunday, March 22nd from 1:00 - 2:30pm with  Dante Baker for this nature inspired soundbath and meditation to celebrate the welcoming of spring with the spring equinox. During this 90 minute soundbath you will be enjoying nature based sounds that can be felt throughout the body.

What is a soundbath experience? (Excerpt from Dante Baker's Website)

"Sound healing is the use of sounds and instruments to tune dissonant frequencies in the body and mind and bring them into harmony.

Each tone and frequency affects us in a specific way–activating a different energy center, chakra, and organ system within the body.

For inexperienced meditators, sound healing is more accessible than silent meditation because the sounds serve as focal points, making it easier to clear the mind."
