Daisy Whittemore

Daisy Whittemore, RYT200, has spent more than 12 years studying different types of yoga, including Anusara, Iyengar, and Vinyasa flow. Her class offerings draw from a rich blend of these yoga styles with a focus on effective alignment-based practice to give students a solid foundation, with elements of flow to keep the body and breath moving. She completed her 200 hour teacher training in the Anusara style of yoga at Willow Street Yoga Center, and continues her study-as teacher and student-in alignment, sequencing, meditation, and philosophy with a wide-range of teachers including Sianna Sherman, Sally Kempton, Stacey Millner-Collins, Maria Hamburger, and Suzie Hurley. Daisy infuses laughter and light into her challenging classes, and welcomes the power of play (of which her children are her best teachers) as vector for growth and progress, both for her students and in her own practice. She encourages students to connect to their own power, flexibility, and peace, both on and off the mat. Of late, Daisy has also developed an alter ego, Yoga Nag, and is encouraging folks to do yoga.
