What is Zoom?

Zoom is an online conferencing software that allows you to connect to Willow Street teachers and students for “live” classes.

How do I use Zoom?

All you need to use Zoom is your laptop or phone and the Zoom application. You can get the application from here on your computer, or find it on the App Store for your phone.

How do I access my class on Zoom?

When you sign up for a Crisis Membership, you should have received an email with the subject “Thank You for Supporting Willow Street Yoga!” which includes a private link to the online class schedule.

Clicking that link will take you to the online class schedule. This is a private link only for Willow Street members. We recommend adding this page to your bookmarks so it’s easily accessible in the future.

On this page, click on the class you want to take and you’ll see the Zoom meeting details pop up.

Clicking on the blue link that begins with https://zoom.us will automatically open up Zoom and sign you into the class.

What if I didn’t receive the email with the calendar link?

Check your spam folder to make sure Willow Street emails aren’t automatically being directed there. If you still can’t find it, contact yoga@willowstreetyoga.com.

Tips and Tricks

Sign into Zoom 5 or 10 minutes prior to the start of class time. If you run into any technical difficulties, that will give you time to resolve them before class starts.

Make sure you have your props on-hand before you settle in for class.

If you have pets, consider closing your door.

You’ll automatically be muted, but if you need to speak to the instructor, click the microphone icon to un-mute yourself.
