Meditative Floral Origami
with Megumi Aikawa
Join Megumi for some fun and calming origami art, a.k.a. yoga for your fingers and brain! We will make lotuses to celebrate the early summer & maybe a few leaping frogs, to add some fun. Modular Origami, which uses 2 or more sheets of paper to make a larger structure, is very meditative as it requires some time and patience to make all the smaller parts that make up the final piece. Take home your creations or donate them to Willow Street to brighten up our space!

Forest Bathing at Tregaron Conservancy
with Susan West-Montgomery
Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, is a Japanese wellness practice that helps individuals access the healing properties of nature. Extended contemplative time in nature calms the mind, promotes well-being, and cultivates a profound sense of belonging. During this truly immersive experience, you will be invited to slow down, be curious, and touch, smell, hear, and see nature more fully. The session will be held at Tregaron Conservancy in Northwest DC. It will not be strenuous but requires the ability to walk a mile or so on uneven surfaces.
