January Whole-Self Reset with Diana McCown

We all know the drill with resolutions: we make them, swear we will stick by them, and forget about them within a couple of weeks. For many of us, our desire to make changes in the new year are usually rooted in health goals (whether externally or internally motivated). We know making a change is hard, especially when alone in our change endeavors. If you are seeking change in your diet or a focus on your whole self in 2019, this Reset is for you.

This is not a resolution. This is simply a commitment to do something different for 30 days. Inspired by Melissa and Dallas Hartwig’s Whole 30 Program, we’ll commit to eat simply for the month of January—only vegetables, fruits, and select proteins.

It takes about 30 days to make a change.

Together we will change our diets for the month of January, committing to only eat vegetables, fruits and select protein… for 30 days. We’ll meet weekly for yoga, discussion, journaling, and support. We’ll explore the change in our bodies, on and off the mat, form new and healthy habits, and use our new knowledge to inform our choices as we move through 2019.

After 30 days will you still eat this way? Maybe. Maybe not.

In our results-based culture we want to know numbers. Perhaps the number on the scale will shift by the end of 30 days. For certain, you will gain a better understanding of how food impacts your body. You’ll move into 2019 thinking about food differently, with a deeper appreciation and love of your body.

Diana found the Whole 30 program several years ago in search of a deeper connection to her body, and found a substantial change in how this changed showed up on the mat. Join her and fellow yogis to explore this connection this January.
