Empowerment Self-Defense: Build your verbal and physical skills for safety + confidence!

Willow Street Yoga + Defend Yourself are partnering to make safety + confidence a bigger part of your life!

Join us to learn:
- How to prevent and avoid harassment, attack, and abuse
- How to stop a threatening situation with words
- Physical moves to use against common attacks.

Anyone can do this! People of all sizes and abilities are welcome. You don't have to be an athlete or martial artist to help yourself be safer.

This six-week series is open to women, trans, and gender-nonconforming/nonbinary people age 16 and up of all abilities. Scholarships available: email elizabeth@defendyourself.org. In Takoma Park.

Defend Yourself works to empower people - especially women and others targeted for abuse and assault - to end violence and create a world where they can be fully themselves. Our students learn skills to help them prevent, heal from, and end violence and abuse. We offer more freedom, more confidence, more safety,and more fun!

Defend Yourself works with people of all ages, genders, and walks of life. We have, for example, held classes and workshops at hundreds of D.C.-area schools, faith groups, workplaces, community organizations, and more.
